Cinch Diet Fast Forward Day 1

I was completely taken aback by the parts of the diet that were hard for me versus the ones I am struggling with. I thought the yogurt would be the hardest, mainly because I am not overly fond of yogurt and it always makes me feel blechy. Well guess what? While I thought it was the yogurt itself that bothered me since I get a similar blarghy feeling with milk, it didn't bother me at all- I am guessing the sweetener was the problem. (All the ones I've had used aspertame.)

I was going to take it like medicine unless it made me sick, but I don't hate the taste, apparently it is just the taste sweetened. Today in a nutshell, here's what I did.

I also don't eat in the mornings, in fact sometimes I will notice it's 4 or 5 and I haven't eaten all day and will force myself to (bad habit, I know, but I really want to feel good so I will do this). I NEVER like my first meal to be sweets.

Woke up at 6 and did the normal getting Dev off to school- this part can't be helped, she leaves just before 7 so I am a teeny bit over the hour, but I don't think 10 or so minutes will make a difference.

Ken makes scrambled eggs in a dry pan so was going to do that with my egg but I have never been able to make them as light and fluffy as his plus, I just tossed my baby spinach in sort of on top and scrambled together- unappealing looking but tasty. A cup of raspberries is almost the whole pint, and the two tablespoons of almonds is a LOT.

Even Ken and the girls said it looked like plenty of food. I ate it but could have stopped at half.

Noon I made the yogurt parfait (and boy, was I a drama queen around everyone who was home whining and complaining) and I love cinnamon so loaded it down with that, some ginger and nutmeg- I have a pumpkin pie spice we really love that we get at TJ Maxx Homegoods, have to check what's in that because they get the blend perfect- but I digress. I did yogurt, frozen raspberries and gave it a dash of vanilla then the spices and mixed it (next time I will mix the SASS part (spices and seasonings) into yogurt then add the berries and almonds. Once again, more than enough food but I actually much preferred it to any yogurt, even the frozen ice cream ones, that I have ever tried.

Dinner was a HUGE I mean I have those giant pasta bowls and the spinach was dang near overflowing and that's before I added the hard boiled egg, raspberries and almonds. I doused it well with balsamic vinegar (I keep tons of vinegars because I love them and can eat salad with plain vinegar or lemon or lime juice and just salt and pepper so didn't think I'd have a problem since we frequently do salads with fruit, nuts or seeds and a protein. Aside from the overwhelming size, next time I will mix the vinegar with the spinach first then put on the egg, berries and nuts.

Snack was hard- for one thing I wasn't hungry, for another I do not like sweets last thing at night, that's my salty snack time. I did like the smoothie okay though, but I really really did a lot of spices since frozen raspberries are WAY more sour than fresh ones in season. I also added maybe a Tbsp of juice from a Cutie orange.  I forgot the 2 Tbsp of almond butter so ate them plain-  the taste is okay but the texture thing grosses me out- same with peanut butter.

All in all I followed the plan exactly except for eating the almond butter separately and never got hungry or felt deprived. (My family is old enough to make their own meals and since we have such wacky schedules it's not uncommon to do this.)

Dev made a parfait for work, but she added stevia (natural raw sugar). She's not following the plan exactly but she likes the salads and parfaits so is doing those (we have a TON of sweetened yogurt but she wanted to try it this way) and she liked it as well- again she added Stevia, which on some forums and msg boards people say is a natural sugar).

See eating to feel great to keep up with my progress.
