Basic Fajita Marinade

This is one of our little of this little of that to taste recipes- very easy and very yummy.  A lot of people go with the standard salad dressing ratio of 3 parts oil to 1 part acid but we like it zesty, so we're giving you our version but feel free to play around to get it to your taste.  It's great on chicken or beef, marinate chicken at least 30 minutes to overnight, beef 3 hours to overnight.*

Basic Fajita Marinade

  • 1/3 cup Oil (use whatever mild you like- canola, coconut, vegetable)
  • 1/3 cup Lime juice (fresh is best but not crucial in this recipe)
  • Healthy glug Worcestershire sauce (use the name brand here- it makes a big difference and you use a lot less)
  • To taste Fajita seasoning
  • 1 tsp (or more, to taste) Lime zest (optional)
Cooking Directions
  1. That's it. Mix it right in the container you use to marinate- we recommend Ziploc bags for even marinating and easy clean up.
  2. If you like to do your prep work ahead of time so you can toss your meals together easily, go ahead and repackage your meat right in the marinade before freezing- when it is defrosted it's ready to go.
Delicious in our Beef or Chicken Fajitas or Southwest Salad, among other dishes.
