2 tablespoons sesame oil (can use olive or veg)
1/2 cup soy sauce (can use low sodium)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 cup honey
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh grated or tiny chopped crystallized ginger (we like a lot- your tastes may vary)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Place chicken in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Mix together the oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, salt and pepper and ginger. Pour over the chicken.
Bake in preheated oven for one hour, or until sauce is caramelized.
Here's how we changed things this time - we added a drained can of crushed pineapple.
Next time we will cook them on racks on baking sheets so they aren't actually sitting in liquid and basting.
