Country style pork ribs in the slow-cooker

As some of you know, some of the freaks I live with don't eat condiments- I know, right? I can't imagine it either.

It can make finding things we all like challenging to say the least.

I came up with this recipe to give the ribs enough flavor that the weirdo's enjoy it plain, but not so overwhelming that the rest of us can't slather on the sauce.

Season family pack of country style boneless pork ribs liberally with salt, pepper, rosemary and garlic and place in slow cooker.

Add 1/2 cup apple cider.

Cook on high 4-6 or low 8-10 hours.

These are really excellent as is served with bbq sauce on the side for those that like it, but the rest of us like best then to slather with Sweet Baby Ray's award winning BBQ sauce (when we're taking the easy way and not making homemade) and cooking for another hour on low.

Really delicious, and everyone is happy. (If we cook longer, we just take about half out and they either reheat if we're all on separate schedules or keep in the oven on warm covered with foil so they don't dry out if we're all eating together.)

If you have leftovers they make awesome pulled pork sandwiches.

Those sound delicious. Who the heck doesn't eat condiments? My problem is my husband doesn't eat pork ribs.. or barely anything that may contain even 1/10th of an ounce of fat and he only like white meat! talk about dry and boring. lol.

that made me laugh! of the 4 people in my house, 2 won't eat condiments. a good "dry rub" has become something of a staple. the sauces are added on after cooking or there are two meat meals prepared :)

I have a pork roast I need to throw into the slow cooker tomorrow. I think I will use your recipe. I then pull it for pulled pork and use the rest to make BBQ enchiladas.

These look delicious:) I love pork in the crock pot and this will be a very nice change from just pouring BBQ sauce in. Thanks.

My mom used to make these when I was young. I haven't seen a recipe for country style pork in a long time. I love the country style pork chops with the bone in. I gotta try this recipe. Thanks for posting. Gotta remind my mom about these.
