Believe in the magic of Macy's win 1 of 2 $25 GC's

We are thrilled to be taking part in the Macy's Believe campaign.

Building on the success of last years efforts, this year Macy's is adding to it with their "Believe" campaign.

There will be a national Santa tour, a "Yes, Virginia" animated special based on the famous New York Sun's 1897 editorial, and there will be a "Believe" letter writing station in Macy's across the country. Each letter received is $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to 1 million dollars. That's a lot of wishes granted- go Macy's!

I personally know a recipient of a wish so I can tell you firsthand the good work that they do and that they took care of everything not only for the child but for the family to make sure it was a magical, special time. I commend Macy's for choosing a program that lifts the burden, at least for a little while, so the stress and strain and medical procedures can be forgotten for those brief magical moments that the wish is being granted.

You can find Macy's on Facebook and on Twitter.

If you are as big a fan as I am, you'll be delighted to know that Macy's has gotten Queen Latifah for their commercial called "The Trek". She'll be helping a little girl mail her letter to Santa.

Anyways, I will use their words as it is basic info and I see no reason to re-invent the wheel at this point. Here's what Macy's has lined up for us:

Macy’s “The Trek” TV Commercial – The new national television spot called “The Trek” features Virginia making the trip from her home to Macy’s, where Queen Latifah helps her mail her letter to Santa.
Macy’s National Santa Tour – Following his celebratory kickoff of the holiday season in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Santa will embark on a whirlwind tour across America, greeting young boys and girls and spreading holiday joy.

National Believe Day / “Yes, Virginia” Animated Special – On Friday, December 11th, Macy’s will celebrate the first National Believe Day to recognize and reward acts of kindness and generosity from coast to coast. Also that day, CBS will premiere a new original animated special called, “Yes, Virginia.” on Friday, December 11, at 8 p.m. ET.

Are you excited? Me too!
And to make it even more fun for y'all, Macy's has graciously offered two $25 gift cards to My Loonyverse readers to thank us for spreading the word. We receive no other compensation, but we're thrilled that you guys have a chance to win. I know last year we burned up the cc on Black Friday online scoring some awesome deals on Lenox ornaments- hello, the Grinch and Max, who could resist? Spode Christmas dishes I've been wanting forever, and the creme de la creme- my Kitchen-Aid Pro Mixer! as well as some really cute kids clothes, robes, etc... Hehe sorry got carried away- I love the deals we can find at Macy's! I can seriously do better with their sales than discount stores.
