Strong words, I know, but I repeatedly use them to explain my many blessings. My faith is very strong, religion not so much since I like to make up my own mind instead of going by someone else's doctrine. I am wicked excited about how fabulously things are going in my life, if that's not God saying YOU GO GIRL! I don't know what is. Seriously, I am always jokingly telling people that God likes me better, but the simple truth is that I LOVE GOD AND TRUST THAT EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT WELL.
Sucky things happen, but aside from that initial reaction wicked-awesome, amazing to watch world-class hissy-bitch-fits that I am told are legend, I get over the bad and move on very, very quickly and focus on what is going right in my life. All in all, I love my life. I am super lucky, didn't get beaten too badly with the ugly stick and have the most amazing family.
Now I didn't get born into the everything is perfect world. I have had to pare down and whittle the bad blood away, but then I get to pick and choose among everyone I meet and I add the ones who add to my family. The thing is as much as I love God, I don't think he loves me (that much) more than anyone else. Nothing can convince me He looks down and plays favorites like I'll give you a handicapped child or I'll give you a debilitating disease.
Like I said my life is not perfect. But. Unlike a lot of drama queens, and I freely admit to being a heckuva drama queen, I focus on GOOD drama, not tragedy. You know, like how cute my little diva's are and what a great mom *cough cough shut up girlies I'll buy you something nice if you let me keep my delusions* I am instead of what a butthead my ex is- yes I had that post but really I just needed to get it off my chest and I let it go as much as I can. I don't focus on lack, or what I can't get, but the many, many wonderful people, places and things that I have been blessed with.
Abraham-Hicks philosophy is the one I most identify with... in a nutshell they think the greatest words ever written by a human were Joseph Campbell's Follow Your Bliss. Be selfish insofar as you spend as much time as you can looking for the next better feeling thought. When you can do these things, the crap doesn't magnify and the good comes more and more, it's like you are a magnet attracting what you focus on- and truly believe, not just say, whether that is good or bad.
Yes, I have a recurring illness, I can't do some things that I used to, I have to periodically go into the hospital, but even laying there puking my guts out getting transfusions and half out of it on painkillers I spend my time thinking about the fun I will have with my family once I am back home. I appreciate what I have in the moment (insurance, doctors and nurses who work hard to keep me as comfortable as possible, etc...) but I keep saying won't it be nice when I can... whatever I think of.
The wouldn't it be nice game is great because you can use it on things you don't yet have, and can't quite it believe it and the little voice deep inside counteracts with yeah, right, sure I'll win the lottery that most people have and since that little voice is their deepest feelings that is what they expect so that is what they get. Wouldn't it be nice is different because when you are saying wouldn't it be nice if I really did have the winning tickets? wouldn't it be nice if I could pay off all my debt and have enough to live on all my life? wouldn't it be fun if then I could make a real difference by donating a million of it to my favorite worthy cause. Wouldn't it be nice if I picked up the tab for everyone who is dining in my favorite restaurant once in a while? Wouldn't it be nice if I left my favorite hardworking waitress a thousand dollar tip on a ten dollar check? Wouldn't it be nice if I had the house of my dreams? Wouldn't it be nice if I made a few new friends at work? Wouldn't it be nice if I got along better with my neighbors.
Big or small things it works because you have nothing negative to come back with- yes those things would be nice, period. Give it a try if you like, and let me know how miraculously and dramatically things start turning around for you because success breeds success and I LOVE LOVE LOVE to share in everyone's joy.
The best part of the Abraham-Hicks teachings is that they work no matter what religion and beliefs you have, or even if you have no religion at all. In my opinion, they took all of the Law Of Attraction info and boiled it down and made it easy-peasy for everyone to "get" and you can start immediately, wherever you are, and your life will change for the better.
It's all up to you, they are just a tool to help you get where you want to be in life with money, relationships, things, everything. Try it, you'll love how easy it is to put into practice in your everyday life.
